Engineering Career Fair
The Spring 2012 SEC Career Fair is Tuesday, January 24th at Reed Arena! Come to the fair with your updated resumes, Aggie ID's, and business casual attire. For additional information on the fair and a list of companies attending, visit sec.tamu.edu/students/careerfair.
The details for this semester's events are as follows:
Monday, January 23rd:
7:00pm-10:00pm Welcome Dinner, The Zone at Kyle Field (Registration Opens 1/17)
Tuesday, January 24th:
9:00am-4:00pm Spring 2012 SEC Engineering Career Fair, Reed Arena

Career Fair Skills Seminar
Join Valero, the Texas A&M Career Center and Student Engineers' Council for an info session to get you ready for the upcoming Career Fair. All students are welcome!
FREE drinks and pizza will be available starting at 6:40pm in Zachry lobby.
Representatives from Valero and the Career Center will present on topics including:
- Preparing for the Career Fair
- Approaching companies
- How to talk to a recruiter
- Who to talk to
- What questions to ask
- Deciding on a career path
- Informal recruiting settings

Designated Tuition Public Hearing
On Monday, April 5, 2011, Texas A&M University President Loftin held a public hearing to discuss Designated Tuition plans for the 2011-2012 academic year. The presentation is linked here and additional information received from the College of Engineering can be found here.
The final differential tuition proposal will be submitted by President Loftin to the Board of Regents at their May 2011 meeting.

National Association of Engineering Student Councils
Regional NAESC - Texas A&M University, Fall 2011
The National Association of Engineering Student Councils Regional Conference was held at Texas A&M University October 21st- 22nd. Schools from all over the central region joined together to collaborate on ways to better their engineering council, school, and students.
The conference was sponsored by both Schlumberger and Valero. Both companies came out do to a corporate presentation to the delegates!
Design Competition
A design competition was also held among the different schools to design the aircraft that lasted the longest in flight. With the limited supplies allowed we had all sorts of inventions!

Technip Visits Aggieland
10/24/11 - Student Engineers' Council Speaker Meeting
Technip came out to speak to the Student Engineers' Council this past week. They spoke on how to transition from the school to the work place and how to manage your home life vs. work life.
