HOUSING HOST INFORMATION:
Would You Like To Be a Housing Host for the FAME Conference?
The 130 FAME participants, high school sophomores and juniors, will be housed in on-campus residence halls. The commitment is only for Saturday night at midnight to 7 am Sunday morning.
Disregard the part of the confirmation email stating you have to attend a mandatory informational meeting. Please just turn in your background check forms.
Bring your background check forms to the SEC office in Zachry 204A (to the left of the ESSAP office) or to Studio 12 in Commons Basement TONIGHT, Tuesday, March 3, 2009, 7 pm. You can also scan and email the forms to fame@sec.tamu.edu.
If you would like to host a student, please click on the “Host Registration” link above.
After registering, both you and your roommate will need to confirm your registration by clicking on a link in the confirmation email. Your roommate does not need to be present the weekend of the conference. Please sign up as soon as you confirm your availability.
We encourage you, as a student in the College of Engineering, to host a participant so that they can see what it is like to live on campus. This is a great way to give back to the College of Engineering and Texas A&M University!

FAME is a 2-day program in the spring semester designed for high school sophomores and juniors to learn about the different disciplines of engineering, to have fun with other high school students from around Texas, and an overnight stay in an A&M dorm. Activities at the conference include a group engineering design competition, one-on-one interaction with engineering students from Texas A&M University, time to hang out in A&M's Rec Center, and a tour of the Texas A&M campus. The conference costs $25 and is a great opportunity to explore the field of engineering and the Texas A&M campus.

MEDICAL WAIVER QUESTIONS:

1) Exculpatory Clause: First Blank-Future A&M Engineers Conference; Second Blank-Student Engineers' Council
2) Indemnity Clause: Only Blank-minor cuts/scrapes, mental stress, or death.

Please check your school calendar for conflicts. The SAT and ACT do not conflict with the FAME Conference this year.
