Favorite Memory: Going to Qatar for a week and visiting Texas A&M's campus over there. Building and then living in a nearly rain proof shack.
Words of Wisdom: Don't think, just do...then do it again to be sure. Oh and study.

Favorite Memory: I have two main ones :). 1st is FLO Bowl; LIFE wrecked shop and definitely represented. practices were a good stress reliever too since i was a "linebacker". HA. 2nd was the trip to the A&M campus in Doha w/ some LIFErs. Most legit thing I've ever done. The whole week was full of amazingness including experiencing a completely different culture, riding camels, and dune bashing. Seriously it was an unforgettable experience.
Words of Wisdom: 1. Join LIFE. Seriously.
2. Don't procrastinate. There isn't a test every two weeks like in high school, so they cover a lot. The less you procrastinate, the easier the night before the test will be and the less stressed out you'll be.
3. Take classes seriously, especially in the beginning, so when finals time rolls around you can screw up a little with out too many consequences. Believe me, I know this from experience.
4. Have funnnnn :). Be yourself, meet new people, get out of your shell a little bit. Don't be afraid to go for something even though you might not think you can get it.
5. Join LIFE. :)

Favorite Memory: Its hard to narrow down just one favorite memory, there is assisting the win to FLO In the Dark, dancing my butt off at FLO Formal, brushing up on my 5th grade 4-square skills all week at shack-a-thon, having a huge pile up at dude bro night part deuce with chicks, and meeting my best friends. However if I were to pick just one it would have to be the bonding between the people who painted the shack for shack-a-thon for two days, specifically when I painted my hands and then grabbed Thomas from behind to leave my mark. Proof is in the picture of Thomas Fisher down below.
Words of Advise: First off, everyone is different so just be accepting and open minded of everyone you meet, it isn’t like high school any more it is a time to figure your self out, so try new things, pick your nose if you want to, show up to class in sweats, or dress up all classy. The choice is yours no need to go with what you think the “flow” is doing. Secondly, learn your own study habits, don’t try to mold to what works for others. Some work ahead, some procrastinate, I tend to be in the later half but hey that is what works for me. THIRDLY, do not ever take Physics 208 at blinn college during the summer. It sucks. If you don’t take at aTm or need to take it again… choose somewhere else other than that school. Haha trust me. Kthxbai.

Favorite Memory: Easily the two LIFE intramural championships. Dodgeball and Basketball Co-Rec Champions.
Words of Wisdom: Professors grade on a curve. If you think you do bad on a test, wait to see if the professor gives a curve. Several times I got a curve of over 15 points. Also, get involved, don’t stay in your box and not expand. Plus, I need people for the dodgeball and basketball teams next year. There is a standard to uphold!

Favorite Memory: When we held tryouts for LIFE's representative for Mr. FLO at spring retreat I got runner up without actually trying out because I got a couple people who were sitting next to me to vote for me. Oh and I got to go to Qatar for free thanks to LIFE. That was pretty nice too.
Words of Wisdom: Don't eat right before going to bed. Don't tell a girl she sucks at dodgeball in the middle of a dodgeball game, believe me, it won't come out sounding like a joke (again, I'm so sorry.) Lastly, when you get the choice to sit it out or dance... I hope you dance.... I hope you dance.

Plant trip first semester! LIFE stayed the night at my house and it was crazy fun! Hot tubbin in November, and all the boys telling me that my neighbor was a gangsta, oh and how they broke a bed.
Words of Wisdom:
Have fun with it. I am not telling you to go crazy or anything but don’t forget to live a little sometimes. Yes, take school serious and get stuff done and stay focused when you need to, but don’t sit there and let anything pass you by. Take every chance that you get to see your friends and meet new people. Always remain open to new experiences. Don’t let studying take over your life, you only get this experience once, so go out there and have an adventure!!

Favorite Memory: Receiving a dancing hula girl as my white elephant gift during the winter formal. Luckily, no one took it from me when it was their turn, so it now sits on my desk at work.
Words of Wisdom: Don't be afraid to ask for help when you don't understand something. There are plenty of resources available to help you including but not limited too: professors, TA's, other students, upperclassmen, and tutoring services. Overall, just focus and work hard. Set goals and see that you achieve them.

Favorite Memory: My favorite memory would have to be going to Qatar. It was the most amazing experience I could've asked for. It was a great chance to get closer to other people and experience a completely different A&M culture. Riding a camel... amazing.
Words of Wisdom:
1. School should always come first! Get to know Evan's Library... you will spend many late nights there. Start out strong in the semester, because its very easy to slack off as the year drags on. Most Prof's grade on a curve, but dont count on it to bring you from a D to an A.
2. Don't make school everything. Take time for meeting new people and hanging out with some amazing Lifer's. You're friends will become everything to you once you fail your first exam and you need a fun night out. (It will happen so don't let it get you down.)
3. Ask for help if you need it. Your Prof's usually want to help you, so don't be afraid of them. Also, all the TL's in Life went through freshmen year too, and would be happy to help. :)
4. Go to the rec! It is an amazing stress reliever, and will really help with the freshmen 15... yes, you will eat when you get stressed.
5. Join LIFE!

Favorite Memory: Two words...Winter Formal! Everyone was together, eating great food, dressed extra spiffy, and getting their groove on. This is one LIFE event you DO NOT want to miss!
Words of Wisdom: Get to know an upperclassman in your major. They can provide you with old tests to study from, help you pick profs, and sell you some extra cheap textbooks to ensure extra spending money...great for a weekend of shopping.

Favorite LIFE memory: Definitely FLO in the Dark. Extreme late night game of capture the flag where LIFE dominated those other inferior FLOs, not to mention there was food, girls, and glow in the dark bracelets, doesn't get any better than that. The intense physical competition coupled with friendship and unit of the FLOs was awesome. I can't wait to do it again this year.
Words of Wisdom: Do not get caught up in all the fun and festivites of college. You can enjoy the college atmosphere and new freedom, but keep your head on straight and do what you came to do here, study, get a degree and start your career. LIFE will really help out with your college experience. Also if you really like to workout or eat massive amounts of peanut butter then I'm the guy to talk to.

Favorite LIFE Memory: I had a ridiculous amount of fun doing everything, mostly because a lot of the people in LIFE became some of my best fiends. But if I had to pick a specific LIFE event, I would have to say Shack-A-Thon because of all the shinanigans that went on not only in the shack (pwning at guitar hero and epically failing at super smash brothers) but also when we were building and painting the shack. Also, the people in the surrounding shacks were really kewl and came to play four square with us and had dance parties! And a lot of old LIFErs came to hang out with us, so that was fun!
Words of Wisdom: Join LIFE and don't be lame! Lol I'm totally kidding, but seriously... Join LIFE! =]

Favorite LIFE Memory: Chillin with everyone every-freakin-where. There wasn’t a time last year when I wasn’t hanging out with someone from LIFE. Even when I study I get together with some of these peeps. No lie you are going to meet some of the coolest people in life in LIFE. Also going to see Incubus with a couple of the TL’s and a Co-Chair. And yes my picture here shows proof of 1. my long hair and 2. That Rachel assaulted me with paint.
Words of Wisdom: Go to event you can possibly be at that we set up for ya’ll in LIFE, it is a lot of fun and you will make a lot of friends. And I want you to ask yourself something. What if I had a mustard drenched cucumber tied to my leg? If anyone knows what that is from I will give you some “Thomas” points.

Favorite LIFE Memory: Well, well, well. If it isn't my turn to step-up to the plate of Co-chair. Luckily I've got my pitch-hitter and P.I.C. Travis "Spieg" Spiegelhauer at my back. My favorite LIFE memory is going to be this coming year, because now with us in charge, this organization is gonna take a huge increase in awesomeness. Don't even front, because this is going to get ridiculous. Get ready 2013, your time has come.
Words of Wisdom: Get your priorities straight. Get good friends that will have your back (I made all of mine in LIFE). And don't be afraid to man-up. I encourage it. You've got to keep it real, so be real. 24/7. Get Money, Get Paid. Do work son.

Favorite LIFE Memory: Hey Class of 2013, what's up. So this is my 3rd Round with LIFE so I have a LOT of truly awesome memories. From the ski trips, plant trips, service work, Shack-A-Thon, intramurals, meetings, and just hanging out with people I have enjoyed it all. Pretty much if you want to have fun your freshman year, make tons of friends, gain leadership experience, and have an engineering support system, then there is no reason not to apply to LIFE. Nuff Said.
Words of Wisdom: Balance, Balance, Balance. We came to college to get a degree and I will be the first one to tell you that Engineering is a challenging major but you need to have some fun too or you are going to crack, plus after this we have to work and do that adult stuff. Set time to study and when you are studying log off of Facebook and go to the library if you need to. Also set some time for fun like a LIFE event(just throwing it out there), a sports game, a movie, or dancing. You will figure out the proportions for everything soon enough. Also utilize study groups. Engineering is hard and sometimes you don't catch everything by yourself. Well Good Luck and Apply!!!!
